Cheerleaders Wanted!
Join our Cheer Team ! We are looking for cheerleaders that are looking to root on our NFL Youth Flag Football teams. We are also in need of volunteer cheer coaches. So sign up to volunteer during registration!
This program is designed for girls 3yrs old - 10yrs old. Our cheer program is a recreational program. Our cheerleaders are here to have fun and learn the basics of cheerleading.
Our cheer program will be ran by our New Cheer Director Rachel Blankenship who will lead our volunteer cheer coaches (parents). Rachel is a former cheerleader and judge who takes pride in making the cheer experience a fun and rewarding experience for the cheerleaders and families.
The same way as the flag football teams. We will place girls on teams based off of their age.
They will cheer the same during the flag football games and at halftime of the games.
When will they practice?
Cheerleader will practice the first 2 weeks of the season during flag football practice/game times. After the first 2 weeks of practice the cheerleaders will be required to arrive 30 minutes before each game to brush up on their routines and then they will perform cheers and chants during the games and also perform halftime shows.
Who coaches the teams?
All teams are coached by volunteer coaches. However, each coach, after being screened, will follow lesson plans developed by our cheer director Rachel Blankenship. Rachel will also hold a coaches clinic to help all parent volunteers through the coaching process.
Do the girls keep their newly designed NFLOHIO cheer uniforms?
Yes! Uniform includes, skirt, shell and pom poms! In addition, they will also receive an individual trophy and ceremony.
What are the shoe requirements?
Girls are required to have white athletic sneakers. They don't have to be all white, but mainly white. Shoes are not supplied by OYFFA.
When do the girls get sized for uniforms?
After you register your child, you will be notified by email of fitting instructions.
What is the cost and what does it include?
The cost is ONLY $89-$99 (Depending on area of Play) + $5.00 processing fee and includes Skirt, Shell, Pom Poms, Trophy and free participation to cheer in Ohio States Stadium...The Horseshoe, during the "Tourney 4 Causes" event on June 27th.
